Buy Browning Citori 725 Trap 12 Gauge 32
Now let’s dive into the details of this interesting weapon. The steel barrels are polished blue. Each has a relay of small circular vents on either side starting a few inches past the mouth. These ports help compensate for muzzle rise. The upper barrel has ten on each side, while the lower barrel has 14 on each side. The upper barrel is crowned with a floating raised ventilation rib that is gentle on the trap and runs the length of it. The elevation prevents the barrels from seeing the clays. On top is a green HiViz Pro-Comp front sight, followed by an ivory center bezel. And then there is the middle rib (side rib) between the barrels for better barrel cooling.
The 12-gauge uses Invector-DS flush chokes (full, improved, modified and modified). These are Browning’s longest chokes. DS stands for Double Seal; this is because in addition to the threads, they also have a brass band on their base to seal the gas and sand. They are threaded on the muzzle in the front instead of the back like the Standard Invector short tubes and the Invector-Plus medium tubes. The longer the tube, the longer the cone and the less distortion of the shot and the greater the accuracy. DS tubes are lighter and thinner and require less barrel reinforcement.
Moving to the rear is a textured paddle release and serrated sliding safety/selector. The stock is not only beautiful, but also superbly shaped with a highly functional Monte Carlo style raised cheekpiece or an adjustable straight comb. At the rear is a vented trap-style back pad. It is thick, absorbent and comfortable. Speaking of the dorsum, the gun’s length of pull is 14 3/4″, while the drop at the crest is 1 9/16″ and the drop at the heel is 1 15/16″.
What else? The weapon features finely detailed matte checkering in the flags on the forearm and grip. However, it lacks pivots.
The steel trigger is strong, durable and has an attractive silver nitride finish. Inside is a knurled trigger gilded with alloy. It is part of Browning’s triple trigger system, which provides three trigger positions and three interchangeable trigger feet.
Of course, magazines are missing, so its capacity is two rounds, one per barrel. While Browning is an iconic American brand, it is actually owned by Belgium’s FN Herstal. In addition, Browning Citori 725 Trap are manufactured by the Miroku Corporation in Japan.
